My husband asked me If I would mend this jacket for him. At first I said, “Sure!”, but after looking further, I called him back and said, “Definitely not! Go buy a new one!”
I have a sampler on my wall that reads: “Use it up. Wear it out. Make it do or do without.” I didn't know for years that the first line had been omitted and reads, “Buy it new.”
